Why I teach this
I don't just teach this. I had to learn it the hard way.
June 2018. I'm sitting in a consultant's office, and I'm told I need major surgery.
The same week, my personal life turned upside down.
I still had a business to run. So I carried on. From the outside, it looked like I had it together. Inside, I was spending everything I had trying to get my old life back.
Then, with a stretched credit card and no better plan, I signed up for a four-week trainer course in Thailand.
Every day I presented. Every day I got honest feedback. Every day I went again, until I stopped hiding behind being competent.
One evening, on a beach, I saw how tightly I was gripping a life that was already gone. Letting go was the only way to make room for the next one.
I came home, had the surgery, and ran my first course for five people.
It wasn't easy, and I won't pretend it was.
But hundreds of people later, I help leaders and professionals do the same thing in their own way: understand where they are, let go of what holds them back, and show up as themselves when it matters.
